The mission of P.J. Groenke Racing is to become the best Canadian racing team, while satisfying all stakeholders, including sponsors, supporters, and fans. The team strives towards technical excellence and continuing improvement.
P.J. entered the Canadian racing scene in 1999. After competing in the Brencole Go Kart Racing series, he moved to the Castrol Solo 1 Championship series in 2000. In 2001, P.J. won his class in the 47th Annual Indian Summer Trophy Races. The following year, he raced in the FV1200 Pro Series.
Between 2003 and 2007, P.J. raced in the Ontario Touring GT Championship. In 2006, he took victory in the 52nd Annual War Bonnet Enduro races. Shortly after his win, he appeared on Star Racer, a reality TV show that aired nation-wide on Discovery Channel Canada, and made it to the semi-final elimination.
In 2008 P.J. Groenke Racing began racing in the Canadian Touring Car Championship. Over the last eight years, P.J. raced in five different cars - each year gaining more experience and advancing in the North American racing scene. P.J. Groenke Racing has captured three victories, six podium finishes, 20 top five finishes and 51 top 10 finishes.
2016 marked P.J. Groenke Racing's fourth full season of competition in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. The Team joined TechSport Racing Team and completed the Team's most successful season. After counting six podium finishes, 10 Top-Five finishes, and 18 laps-led, P.J. finished 2nd in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Series Touring Car B Championship standings. P.J. returns to the Pirelli World Challenge Series this year in the Chevy Sonic presented by Verax.ca, Tundra, Prestone, Cabano's Comfort Food to take the coveted spot at the top of the podium.
